Children and teens age 18 and pregnant women with gross monthly family income that meets specific income guidelines may qualify for this program. Assets are not counted. Parents living with their children and teens age 18 and under with monthly family income at or below specific income guidelines, and with certain assets of $2000 or less may qualify as well.

The Maine Rx Card is a simple solution to the confusing maze of discount programs that have appeared in recent years. Residents of Maine can obtain a pre-activated free Rx card, search drug pricing, and locate participating pharmacies by visiting www.mainerxcard.com.
The price you pay will vary with each prescription and whether you are enrolled in the Low Cost Drugs for the Elderly or Disabled, or Maine Rx Plus.
You need to be age 62 or older, or at least age 19 and disabled
You get an 80% discount on all prescriptions once you pay more than $1,000 in out-of-pocket expenses when you use your Maine Rx Plus card.The $1,000 applies to only some drugs. It is counted between August 1 and the following July 31.
