Alabama Rx Card is a statewide free prescription assistance program open to all residents of Alabama. There are no restrictions to membership, no age or income requirements, and no stipulations on pre-existing health conditions. The program was launched in November 2007 to help the uninsured and underinsured of Alabama afford their prescription medications. Those with insurance can also use the program on drugs not covered by their plan.
In order to help spread awareness about the program, Alabama RX Card has partnered with Alabama Primary Health Care Association, Auburn University and Trinity Medical Center as well as numerous hospitals and clinics throughout the state.
Alabama Rx Card provides discounts from 30%- 80% on most brand and generic medications. The program is accepted at CVS/pharmacy, Fred's, Kmart, Kroger, Payless, Target, Walgreens, Winn-Dixie, as well as over 68,000 participating pharmacies nationwide. Residents can download free, pre-activated cards on the website at www.alabamarxcard.com or call toll free at (877) 507-5445 to have cards mailed to them. Additionally, Alabamians unable to obtain a hard card can visit any CVS/pharmacy location in Alabama and ask to have their prescription processed through the Alabama Rx Card.
Low Cost.
The patient must be under age 19, an Alabama resident, a U.S. citizen or an eligible immigrant. The patients must not be covered under any health insurance, a resident in an institution, or eligible for dependent coverage under state employees' insurance or public school insurance. The patient must not be covered by or eligible for Medicaid.

ALL Kids is a low-cost, comprehensive healthcare coverage program for children under age 19. Benefits include well child check-ups and immunizations, sick child doctor visits, prescriptions, vision and dental care, hospitalization, mental health and substance abuse services, and much more. ALL Kids uses Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama to provide medical and mental health and substance abuse services through their preferred provider network.
