Program Description:
Michigan Rx Card is a free prescription assistance program available to everyone living in Michigan. The program was launched to help the uninsured and underinsured residents of Michigan gain access to significant savings on prescription medications at their local pharmacies.
No personal information is required to join the program and there are no enrollment forms, no eligibility requirements, and no restrictions of any kind. The Michigan Rx Card provides discounts on both brand and generic medication with an average savings around 30%, with some discounts as high as 75%. The card is accepted at Kmart, CVS/pharmacy, Walgreens, Meijer, Pamida, Target, Savon, Shopko, Walgreens, Walmart, as well as over 56,000 participating pharmacies across the country. Kmart Pharmacy is the program's preferred pharmacy. Michigan residents not able to obtain a member card can visit any preferred location and simply reference “Michigan Rx Card” to have a prescription processed through the program.
The Michigan Rx Card is a simple solution to the confusing maze of discount programs that have appeared in recent years. Residents of Michigan can obtain a pre-activated free Drug card, search drug pricing, and locate participating pharmacies by visiting www.michiganrxcard.com. Residents can also obtain cards at health centers, hospitals, clinics, and other card distribution sites that are being set up in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and many other locations across the state.
