Program Description:
Louisiana Drug Card is a free prescription assistance program available to everyone living in Louisiana. The program was launched to help the uninsured and underinsured residents of Louisiana gain access to significant savings on prescription medications at their local pharmacies.
No personal information is required to join the program and there are no enrollment forms, no eligibility requirements, and no restrictions of any kind. The Louisiana Drug Card provides discounts on both brand and generic medication with an average savings around 30%, with some discounts as high as 75%. The card is accepted at CVS/pharmacy, Kmart, Brookshire's, Fred's, Albertsons Sav-on Target, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens, Walmart, Weis, as well as over 56,000 participating pharmacies across the country. CVS/pharmacy is the program's preferred pharmacy. Louisiana residents not able to obtain a member card can visit any preferred location and simply reference “Louisiana Drug Card” to have a prescription processed through the program.
